The 2 1/2 inch (63.5 mm) exhaust flex pipe is a robust flexible connector for passenger vehicles, light trucks, buses, diesel generators and compact industrial engines. Its proven K1 structure—Cap + Interlock Liner + Multi-ply Bellows + Outer Braid absorbs engine vibration, accommodates thermal expansion and helps stabilize NVH, protecting turbochargers, catalytic converters and downstream pipework.
Materials can be configured to match your duty cycle and cost targets: aluminized steel for economical caps, and stainless steels 201/304/321/409 for bellows, interlock and braid to balance corrosion and heat resistance. The interlock liner smooths exhaust flow and shields the bellows from pulsation and particle erosion, while the outer braid restrains axial growth yet maintains flexibility under continuous vibration—suitable for gasoline and diesel applications.
Installation supports weld-on or clamp-on approaches. We provide TIG, MIG, and laser welding for high-integrity joints and clean seams. Place the flex in a straight, low-stress section; align ends, avoid torsion, keep a minimum bend radius and support adjacent pipes so the flex does not carry system weight. For OEM and high-volume programs (typically ≥1000 pcs), we offer laser logo engraving and custom branded packaging.
Standard packing is plastic bag inside + carton outside, with palletized export options and custom labels/barcodes for distributors. With automated forming/welding and process controls, monthly capacity reaches 350,000 pcs.
