The 2 1/4 inch exhaust flex pipe is designed for automotive, light truck, generator and compact industrial engine exhaust systems.   It adopts a proven Cap + Interlock + Bellows + Outer Braid structure (K1 type) to effectively absorb engine vibration, compensate for thermal expansion, and reduce noise & harshness while protecting catalytic converters, turbochargers, and downstream exhaust components.

Optional materials include aluminized steel, stainless steel 201, 304, 321, 409, which can be selected based on cost, corrosion resistance, and heat tolerance requirements.   The inner interlock liner improves exhaust gas flow and shields the bellows from direct pulsation and particle erosion.   The outer stainless braid provides axial restraint and durability under continuous vibration and thermal cycling, making it compatible with both gasoline and diesel exhaust systems.

Typical installation positions are between the manifold/turbo outlet and downstream exhaust piping.   When installing, ensure straight alignment, avoid torsional stress, and maintain sufficient clearance so the bellows can flex freely.   The product can be connected by welding or clamping depending on the exhaust system design.   It is recommended to support adjacent pipes properly to prevent the flex pipe from bearing the full weight of the exhaust system.
