| American type hose clamps are perforated worm-drive clamps designed for reliable hose fastening in agricultural, industrial, automotive, and general piping applications. With a flexible adjustment range, strong structural versatility, and cost-efficient performance, they are suitable for repair, assembly, and bulk supply across different hose connection needs. Why Choose Yueding for American Hose Clamps? • ISO and IATF certified production helps ensure stable quality across long-term batch supply. • Standard band width and thickness options support bulk orders and mixed-specification purchasing. • Integrated support for design, production, packaging, and application-based structural customization. | |||||||||
Our American type hose clamps are produced on fully automated production lines. Unlike large-diameter German type hose clamps that may require manual support, all standard-size American hose clamps we supply are manufactured through an integrated process, including band perforation, housing riveting, band forming, and screw assembly.
The band tolerance can be controlled within ±0.02 mm, helping ensure more consistent appearance, dimensions, and assembly performance across long-term supply. This helps you reduce customer complaints, installation feedback, and repeated confirmation caused by batch-to-batch variation.
American type worm-drive clamps have a mature structure and wide application range. With an overall automated hose clamp output of up to 1–1.2 million pieces per day, we can better support large-volume orders while maintaining cost-efficient production. For bulk purchasing projects, this helps you control sourcing costs and end-market pricing while still meeting basic fastening performance requirements.
Our American-style hose clamps are exported to more than 50 countries and regions, and different markets often require different product configurations. Some customers focus more on price, while others care more about long-term durability, project matching, or special application needs. We can support different material options, surface treatments, and structural designs such as quick-release or self-compensating hose clamps, helping you configure a more suitable product solution based on your target application.
For high-frequency consumable products like perforated worm-drive hose clamps, packaging and specification identification directly affect warehousing, sorting, shelf management, and sales efficiency. We support bulk packing, poly bags, boxes, labels, barcodes, and kit combinations, making the clamps easier for bulk distribution and repeat orders while reducing later repacking, relabeling, sorting, and specification identification costs.
Suitable for connection and fastening applications that require frequent maintenance and replacement, offering three quick-release structures and versions with a handle.
Pre-set positioning hole design eliminates manual alignment errors, making it suitable for high-standard automated assembly.
Uses multi-disc spring reinforced worm drive to provide significantly higher tightening torque and self-adjusting performance compared to standard American-style hose clamps.
Available in Dacromet black coating and electroplated black finish options, improving product identification and corrosion resistance.
Yueding’s factory covers over 20,000 square meters and is equipped with automated and semi-automated production facilities for hose clamps and related metal components. With more than 200 full-time staff, including experienced engineers and production teams, we support stable batch production, mixed-size orders, and long-term supply needs.
Our products are exported to more than 110 countries, with annual sales exceeding USD 10 million. Certified under ISO 9001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, and RoHS, Yueding provides reliable manufacturing and quality support for automotive, industrial hose, machinery, and piping applications.
Will the perforated structure of American-style hose clamps damage the hose?
American-style hose clamps use a perforated steel band that meshes with a worm drive to achieve tightening. This structure can create localized pressure on the hose under high torque conditions. If the stamping process is not precise enough, burrs at the hole edges may gradually wear the hose surface during long-term use, and even cause slow leakage.
What is the difference between quick release and standard American-style hose clamps?
Quick release types are designed for easy installation and removal, making them suitable for applications that require frequent maintenance, such as filtration systems or temporary pipelines. However, since the locking structure does not rely fully on continuous worm drive engagement, its overall tightening uniformity is usually slightly lower than standard perforated American-style hose clamps. Therefore, in high-pressure or long-term fixed sealing applications, the standard type is more stable, while the quick release type is more suitable for low-pressure or frequently maintained systems.
Why do American-style hose clamps loosen in vibration environments? How can it be improved?
In continuous vibration environments, loosening usually comes from the small clearance between the worm screw and the steel band holes. Long-term vibration can gradually reduce the clamping force. There are two main improvements: first, improving the precision between the worm drive and steel band to reduce clearance; second, optimizing the surface treatment of the steel band to ensure more uniform force distribution. You can also choose models that have passed fatigue testing to ensure stable clamping performance under long-term vibration.
What is the difference between rated torque and failure torque?
Rated torque is the recommended tightening range during normal installation to ensure proper sealing. Failure torque is the maximum limit at which the structure may fail. A good American-style hose clamp should have a sufficient safety margin, meaning the normal installation torque is far lower than the failure torque. If over-tightened during installation, it may cause deformation of the steel band or damage to the hose.
How to choose the size and band width of American-style hose clamps?
This mainly depends on the outer diameter of your hose and the actual working pressure. The inner diameter range of the clamp should cover the maximum outer diameter of the hose after installation, with proper adjustment space. It should be noted that if your hose experiences thermal expansion and contraction, using a fixed-size American-style hose clamp may cause leakage risk. In this case, a self-adjusting hose clamp with compensation function can be used.
Band width selection depends on load requirements. Narrower bands such as 8mm are more suitable for space-limited or light-duty applications and are easier to install. Wider bands provide more even pressure distribution and higher tensile strength, making them more suitable for applications such as automotive cooling systems and intake systems where pressure or vibration is present.
