CV Boot Clamps

CV boot clamps keep automotive boots securely seated around CV joints, axle shafts and drive shaft connections.Available structures include pull-type clamps, guided single-ear clamps, multi-tooth adjustable clamps, multi-hole adjustable clamps, stepless ear type CV boot clamps and low-profile earless CV boot clamps. Tightening methods range from band pulling and position adjustment to ear crimping and stepless compression.Different designs can support CV boot clamp replacement, universal repair kits and repeatable production-line assembly.

Yueding supplies SUS201 and SUS304 CV boot clamps in bulk. Standard band widths include 6.5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 mm, with thicknesses of approximately 0.25–1.0 mm. Selected adjustable CV boot clamps cover diameters of approximately 6.5–120 mm, while pull-type CV boot bands can accommodate wider ranges through customized band lengths.Custom lengths, mixed-size combinations and matching CV boot clamp tools are available according to project requirements.

Product Description

Reliable Long-Term Locking

Permanent mechanical locking helps reduce loosening caused by vehicle vibration and long-term operation. Depending on band specification, selected CV joint boot clamps can provide approximately 2,400–7,000 N of clamping force, helping boots remain securely seated and reducing repairs caused by loose connections.

More Uniform Boot Protection

Continuous 360° contact distributes clamping force more evenly around the boot instead of concentrating pressure at one point.Smooth, deburred edges also help reduce surface damage during installation and long-term use.

More Consistent Installation

Visible ear compression provides a practical reference for clamp closure.Matching manual or pneumatic CV boot clamp tools improve repeatability and help reduce overtightening, insufficient tightening and variation between assemblies.

Related CV Boot Clamps Options

Choose a suitable CV boot clamp according to installation diameter, available space, required tensile strength and locking method. SUS201 and SUS304 options are available in different band widths, thicknesses, diameter ranges and customized lengths.
Universal Pull-Through Type

Universal Pull-Through Type

Integrated buckle allows quick band pulling and tightening, with tensile resistance of approximately 60 kg. Suitable for routine CV boot repair, replacement and general assembly.

Reinforced Pull-Through Type

Reinforced Pull-Through Type

Reinforced separate buckle provides tensile resistance above 100 kg. Suitable for higher-vibration applications or assemblies requiring a stronger connection.

Premium Pull-Through Type

Premium Pull-Through Type

Weld-free stamped construction with an integrated buckle rated for tensile loads above 160 kg. Designed for projects requiring higher locking strength and structural reliability.

Guided Single-Ear Adjustable Type

Guided Single-Ear Adjustable Type

Guided band design supports more stable positioning and tightening before ear crimping. Suitable for assemblies requiring both diameter adjustment and consistent placement.

Multi-Tooth Single-Ear Adjustable Type

Multi-Tooth Single-Ear Adjustable Type

Stepped tooth positions accommodate several nearby diameters. Ear crimping then provides stable locking for related boot sizes.

Multi-Hole Single-Ear Adjustable Type

Multi-Hole Single-Ear Adjustable Type

Multiple locating holes make diameter selection clear and repeatable. Suitable for faster assembly and reduced positioning errors.

Stepless Single-Ear Type

Stepless Single-Ear Type

Stepless 360° inner surface provides continuous contact without pronounced gaps or steps. Smooth deburred edges help protect rubber boots during tightening.

Stepless Earless Type

Stepless Earless Type

Low-profile earless construction fits restricted assembly spaces and supports radial or axial installation. Continuous 360° clamping helps reduce local gaps while accommodating balance and tolerance variation.

Why Choose Yueding for CV Boot Clamps

YDCT operates more than 20,000 m² of production space under management systems including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. Relevant CV clamps can also be supplied to applicable RoHS requirements.

Main in-house processes cover incoming-material inspection, stamping, forming, dimensional verification, cleaning, final inspection and packaging.

Steel bands are checked for visible scratches, mechanical damage and burrs before production. Material composition is verified according to incoming requirements. Approved drawings, dedicated dies and forming fixtures help maintain defined dimensions and structures across production batches.

First-off samples are inspected for appearance and critical dimensions, including internal diameter after closure. Continuous production begins after conformity with approved drawings has been confirmed. Tensile and hardness testing can also be arranged according to product and project requirements.

Matched SKUs can combine CV boot clamps with automotive boots, circlips and related components, reducing separate sourcing and fitment verification for repair kits or assembly preparation.

Available packaging includes kits, boxes, bags and bundled single-size packs. Manual or pneumatic CV boot clamp tools can also be supplied. For selected standard sizes, reference lead time for 10,000 pieces is approximately seven days, subject to specification, packaging and production schedule.

Product Questions & Answers

How to Install and Tighten a CV Boot Clamp?

Seat both ends of the boot correctly in the grooves on the CV joint housing and axle shaft. Position the clamp evenly, without twisting or misalignment, and leave enough room for the locking mechanism and installation tool.

For ear type CV boot clamps, center matching CV boot clamp pliers over the ear and close them in one smooth, even movement. Proper closure should appear relatively symmetrical, with the clamp seated flat in the groove. Production assembly should follow confirmed closure parameters rather than visual judgement alone.

Pull-type CV boot bands require a banding tool with a winding spindle and cutter. Feed the band through the buckle and tool, tighten it gradually, pivot the tool toward the buckle to retain tension, then cut and secure the remaining tail.

Correct installation should hold the boot firmly without excessive compression, rolled edges or abnormal deformation. General-purpose pliers should not replace matching crimping or banding tools.
